Fueling Creativity, Shaping Futures Bringing Arts Education to Our Schools

In the face of diminishing arts programs in local schools and community centers, CVAC is unwavering in its commitment to enhance students’ education by providing vital arts instruction. Our mission is to equip youth with creative skills, unveiling hidden passions and fostering critical thinking. By ensuring easy access to art tools and resources, we aim to transform young lives, empowering them to express their creativity and become catalysts for change.

Who We Are…

The CVAC Youth Arts Educational Program, an initiative by the Carson Valley Arts Council, is dedicated to extending its educational outreach to all public elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as private schools in Douglas County, Nevada.

About Our Programs…

CVAC’s Youth Arts Educational Program aims to educate, entertain, and enlighten the youth of Douglas County through interactive performing arts presentations. Currently, we offer two distinctive programs:

  1. Musical Assembly: CVAC brings professional musical performers to local schools in an engaging assembly format.

  2. Artist Residency Program: Schools have the option to choose an assembly format or individual instruction by a professional artist in the classroom. This personalized approach allows schools to select the performer that best suits their educational goals.

Our programs are generously supported by grants, eliminating any financial burden on the schools. To ensure ongoing success, we conduct evaluations after each performance or residency. Teachers and staff play a crucial role by providing feedback through evaluation forms, which serve as valuable tools for refining future programs and securing grant funding.

Join us in shaping a new generation of artists who not only excel creatively but also contribute meaningfully to their communities. Together, let’s inspire the next wave of artistic innovation!
