The Carson Valley Arts Council is a non profit organization dedicated to supporting the performing and visual arts in the Carson Valley. We are currently focused on a singularly exciting project which is to renovate the building known as the old Copeland Lumber Building into a multipurpose performing arts theater. Located on 1st Street in Minden, the Copeland Building has tremendous potential to fulfill the need in our community for a mid-sized fixed seating venue. More
As of January 25 2008 the Carson Valley Arts Council has purchased the old Copeland Lumber Building on Hwy 395 in Minden. The down payment on the building was made possible by a generous donation from Big George Ventures. With continued community support and donations the building will become the new Performing & Visual Arts Center for Douglas County. Please join us over the next couple of months at our concerts at the CVIC hall to find out how you can become involved. Read more about Arts Center project
